Dedicated Account Representative

Job Description
The Dedicated Account Representative provides business critical insight and delivers excellent assistance and communication to A. M. Castle metal customers. The Dedicated Account Representative identifies strategic business opportunities and/or develops key accounts consistent with commercial unit sales strategy. A successful individual will also promote and sell company products and services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
The Dedicated Account Representative will be based out of Grove, OK and will report directly to the Branch Manager located in Wichita, KS. A.M. Castle & Co. has over 125 years of experience as a leader in the metals service center industry. Job Requirements:
Builds an interface with the customer and its selected subcontractors.
Builds customer relationships and effectively represents the Company
Responsible for the administrative tasks associated with order placement, expediting, and follow up.
Develops and executes an account management plan in order to increase sales volume
Works with other functional areas to ensure that appropriate levels of service are maintained
Resolves customer problems and complaints. Works with other functional areas to ensure that procedural issues or errors are corrected at the source in order to prevent problem recurrence.
Communicates tactical plans to sales management
Reviews customer forecasts and maintains accurate records of related information
Review sales orders for appropriate pricing structure and utilization of inventory
Ensures that customer inventory requirements are met on a consistent basis
Maintains positive relationship with suppliers for technical and pricing support as well as market trends, communicating all pertinent information to sales management
Makes pricing decisions relative to market conditions within company pricing guidelines.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, or related field, or the equivalent, strongly preferred
Demonstrated sales skills with strong achievement orientation
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with all levels in an organization
Excellent verbal communication skills
Good written communication skills
Strong customer service orientation with ability to initiate and sustain productive business relationships with suppliers and customers
Good problem-solving skills with ability to develop appropriate solutions to customer problems
Good organizational skills
Minimum of five (5) years experience in direct sales in a manufacturing or distribution environment
Minimum three (3) years experience in the metals industry
Demonstrated knowledge of inventory costs/inventory management

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
